The effect of a giant change in the impedance ferromagnetic materials under action an external magnetic field is widely used to elaborate highly sensitive sensors. purpose this work was demonstrate possibilities controlling magnitude magnetoimpedance ferromagnet-piezoelectric structure using electric field. Method. In measurements, we planar heterostructure containing strip amorphous ferromagnet Metglas, 25 µm thick and mm long, mechanically connected bimorph, 0.5 30 made piezoceramic lead zirconate titanate. Enhanced magnetoelectric effect in heterostructure of magnetostrictive alloy bars and piezoelectric single-crystal transformer.
We report an enhanced magnetoelectric (ME) effect in a heterostructure consisting of a long-type, longitudinally-longitudinally polarized 0.71Pb(Mg(1∕3)Nb(2∕3))O(3)-0.29PbTiO(3) (PMN-PT) piezoelectric single-crystal transformer with its input part sandwiched between two longitudinally magnetized Tb(0.3)Dy(0.7)Fe(1.92) (Terfenol-D) magnetostrictive alloy bars. The observed ME effect has two inde...

We report the observation of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) in a ferromagnet-semiconductor heterostructure in the presence of a spin-polarized current. Spin-polarized electrons injected from a metallic ferromagnet generate a large nuclear spin population in a GaAs quantum well by dynamic polarization. The characteristic time for the polarization process is approximately 20 sec, and the nuclea...
متن کاملElectric-field-induced magnetization reversal in a ferromagnet-multiferroic heterostructure.
A reversal of magnetization requiring only the application of an electric field can lead to low-power spintronic devices by eliminating conventional magnetic switching methods. Here we show a nonvolatile, room temperature magnetization reversal determined by an electric field in a ferromagnet-multiferroic system. The effect is reversible and mediated by an interfacial magnetic coupling dictated...
متن کاملNonlinear Magnetoelectric Response of Planar Ferromagnetic-Piezoelectric Structures to Sub-Millisecond Magnetic Pulses
The magnetoelectric response of bi- and symmetric trilayer composite structures to pulsed magnetic fields is experimentally investigated in detail. The structures comprise layers of commercially available piezoelectric (lead zirconate titanate) and magnetostrictive (permendur or nickel) materials. The magnetic-field pulses have the form of a half-wave sine function with duration of 450 µs and a...

A highly topical set of perovskite oxides are high-sensitivity piezoelectric ones, among which Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 at the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) between ferroelectric rhombohedral and tetragonal polymorphic phases is reckoned a case study. Piezoelectric ceramics are used in a wide range of mature, electromechanical transduction technologies like piezoelectric sensors, actuators and ultrasoun...
